There’s got to be a better way.

For Richer was born from a simple frustration: what do you do with a wedding ring you no longer wear?  The sentimental pressure of parting with something so important can be challenging, but what good is it to hold onto something which no longer serves us?

Brittany has been dealing with these challenges herself: with her wedding and engagement rings from a marriage she is no longer in. After a January 2020 bout with Marie Kondo’s “The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up”, Brittany cleaned out many things which no longer served a purpose for her and again came back to her 2-ct solitaire engagement ring. Without a viable solution, she shared her frustrations with her coworker, Steph, and the two wondered aloud, “What if there was a way to resell jewelry that empowered women rather than shamed them? That provided just as much upside to the seller as it did the buyer?” And from there, For Richer was born.
